IoT

RUCKUS provides organizations with a convergent data communications infrastructure to ensure connectivity based on multiple technologies and standards. One example is the support of the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem, which makes it possible to develop purpose-built applications meeting specific needs of your organization.

Implementing the IoT in an organization helps achieve three main goals:

  • enhanced personnel and asset security,
  • revenue growth, and
  • cost reduction.

RUCKUS access points come with at least one IoT radio module operating in a software selectable BLE or ZigBee mode. Since these standards use the 2.4 GHz band, RUCKUS has developed the CoEx technology that enables a simultaneous IoT and Wi-Fi transmission using the same RF band.

RUCKUS IoT is an open ecosystem. RUCKUS does not manufacture IoT endpoint devices; instead they chose to deliver an open platform that allows you to develop any application meeting your organization’s needs. It is only our imagination than can set any limits.

The core part of RUCKUS IoT ecosystem is an IoT controller that manages connectivity between IoT endpoint devices and the infrastructure, interfaces the IoT data exchange, and enables the use of data flow, creation of rules to take certain actions based on the integrated Node-RED rules engine, and integration with third-party solutions.
