Integrated OT network

Organizations planning to implement IoT solutions often face a complex task involving numerous standards, devices, and services. This complexity can slow down or even stop such initiatives. But what if a single network for all IT and OT applications can be built? RUCKUS makes it possible as nearly all our Wi-Fi 6 access points come with integrated BLE and ZigBee radio modules (other products can be equipped with these modules). This eliminates the need to build an additional IoT network, separate power supply etc. A consolidated, convergent IT/OT network also brings savings in terms of planning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Management of the IoT part is provided by RUCKUS IoT Controller. Available for virtualization platforms, this software delivers the communications layer and manages non-Wi-Fi devices and their security. Automation rules can be defined using a user-friendly GUI. You can integrate RUCKUS IoT Controller with external systems based on extended APIs, for instance by adding the LoRaWAN gateway support.

It should be emphasized that IoT RUCKUS is an open environment. There is a number of reference implementations as part of RUCKUS Alliance Partners initiative. You can also implement solutions based on open standards for the ever-growing ecosystem of IoT solutions.
